From 16 to 20 March 2026, the JuSTICE Project, in collaboration with the Department of Enforcement of Judgments (DEJ) and with the support of the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), organized a follow-up Training of Trainers (ToT) session for enforcement officers in Vientiane, Laos PDR.

The training was delivered by international experts from the International Union of Judicial Officers (UIHJ), namely its First Vice-President, Jos Uitdehaag, and its expert, Zlaty Mihailova.

Over five days, the training brought together trainers who had previously participated in an earlier ToT program, representing several provinces including Vientiane Capital, Savannakhet, Luang Prabang, Vientiane Province and Champasak. The objective was to further strengthen their capacity to roll out practice-oriented enforcement training nationwide later this year.

The refresher program focused on enhancing both technical knowledge and training methodologies. It enabled participants to refine the training modules developed the previous year in preparation for pilot training sessions.

Through interactive sessions, group work and presentations, participants exchanged experiences and reflected on practical challenges in enforcement practices, while strengthening their confidence in applying modern, learner-centred training approaches.
