On 20 December four Chambers of free legal professions (Notaries, private enforcement agents, mediators and the Bar Association) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation marking the first step in launching a collaboration to raise public awareness about the importance of free legal professions, their crucial role in ensuring justice and protecting citizens’ rights and the importance of a close collaboration among these legal professions. In addition to fostering collaboration, the memorandum aims to elevate professional standards, enhance transparency, and boost efficiency in serving the public interest. The joint commitment reflects a shared vision to strengthen Albania’s legal framework and promote trust in its judicial institutions. UIHJ was represented by its first vice-president, Mr. Jos Uitdehaag.

On 23 December, these Chambers, jointly, organised the First Forum of Free Legal Professions in Albania. This landmark agreement signals a progressive step forward for Albania’s legal professions, paving the way for a more unified and effective justice system. During the Forum, it was obvious that also other free professions are very interested such form of collaboration.
