In memoriam

Death of Marcellin Comlan Zossoungbo, President of the National Chamber of Judicial Officers of Benin

It is with deep sadness that we learn of the sudden death of Marcellin Comlan Zossoungbo, President of the National Chamber of Judicial Officers of Benin.

The large family of judicial officers is again in mourning. After Jacques Isnard, former President of the UIHJ and Vladimir Plasil, President of the National Chamber of Judicial Officers of the Czech Republic, both victims in November 2020 of the consequences of Covid-19, it is Africa which is in turn hit hard by the sudden disappearance of Marcellin Zossoungbo who had just completed the first two years of his mandate as President of the National Chamber of Judicial Officers of Benin.

We are all once again in shock and would like to pay tribute to this exceptional man who was unanimous appreciated, who had sacrificed everything to lead with rigor, a spirit of openness and strong will the destiny of his profession in Benin and was considered a close friend of all those who knew him. His passing is a huge loss for our profession.

The UIHJ sends its saddened condolences to all his family and loved ones and assures them of its full support in this painful ordeal.
