The UIHJ and the UEHJ have obviously not been spared from the various measures which are currently being taken to combat the spread of COVID-19 and are therefore forced to work in a slow mode.

We have been forced to cancel our participation in numerous work meetings or conferences, planned all over the world, and this following the various travel or immigration restrictions on the territory of the various countries.

It is obvious that the health and well-being of those who work for our organization must always be our first concern. We therefore apologize for the absence of representatives of the UIHJ or the UEHJ at the various events which will nevertheless take place.

As for the Permanent Council of the UIHJ which should take place on May 8, 2020 in Belgrade, a final decision will be taken by the end of March, taking into account the evolution of the situation and in close consultation with the National Chamber of the Judicial Officers and the official authorities of Serbia. We will obviously keep you informed!

Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people who have been affected by this unprecedented event and we appreciate the healthcare workers, local communities, and governments around the world who are on the front line working to contain this coronavirus.

Stay in good health!
